Broad Spectrum koyo oil seals Factory Price

Broad Spectrum koyo oil seals Factory Price.I used this FAQ along with the Clymer manual to install my new seals and springs today, and this was WAY more detailed and easier to follow. I just thought I’d add a few things that may help other newbs like me that have never done this before.
– Clymer typo: When putting the seal onto the inner tube, the Clymer manual says something like “place spring side up”, but in their pictures the spring side(open side) is clearly facing down. bnt83’s write up says to slide the seals on “number side up”, which means spring side down. Don’t let Clymer’s typo confuse you into putting the seals on wrong!Broad Spectrum koyo oil seals Factory Price.
– I made the tool using a 5/8″ threaded rod and 4 nuts, but the nuts kept spinning under pressure, so I had to put lock washers in between to hold them in place while really cranking on them.
– You can clean and dry the empty fork tubes like shotgun barrels by tying one end of a string to a clean low lint cloth, then thread the other end through the tube – Pull the string through the tube, and the cloth along with it. This works great for cleaning the length of the tube you can’t get to, or to dry the parts faster.Broad Spectrum koyo oil seals Factory Price.
– I started this project without a “seal driver” which you can buy from the Yamaha dealer for way too much money, or you can just make one with a 1.5 inch diameter pvc pipe around 3 feet in length. Tape the seal end with duct tape so you don’t damage the new seals. The pvc pipe will slip over the inner fork tubes perfectly and you can then use a hammer to drive the bearings and seals evenly.
– The fork caps were extremely difficult to get back on, especially with oily hands, until I realized that the fork clamps that helped me break the caps loose can also help me get them on again. smartass.gif I took the spacer out and stuffed a rag into the end of the inner tube to keep crud from getting in, then I slid the fork tube back into the bike’s fork clamps and tightened them down. After sliding the spacer back in I was then able to use both arms to push and tighten the fork caps onto the inner fork tubes. Make sure your bike is very stable before doing this, mine was on jack stands with straps attached to the rafters for extra support.
Anyway, I hope this helps other would-be mechanics avoid some of the difficulties I experienced.Broad Spectrum koyo oil seals Factory Price.
